Treatment Technique

Katerina is adept at using a variety of hands-on therapies including acupuncture, bodywork, cupping, and moxibustion.

In needling, she utilizes both gentle Japanese techniques as well as Chinese-style acupuncture depending on the patient’s preferences and the condition being treated.

Katerina works with you to determine the best course of action for you.

Whether that’s using only natural therapies like acupuncture, nutrition, and medicinal herbs, or working in partnership with biomedical practitioners to achieve the results you want.

What to Expect


Interview and first treatment

To begin, Katerina will ask you a wide variety of questions to get to know the whole you. Even the most seemingly insignificant detail can be used as information to create a holistic treatment plan that’s tailored to fit you, perfectly.

Katerina will also do a physical assessment, which may include watching you walk and move, taking your pulse, palpating your abdomen and forearm, looking at your tongue, and/or orthopedic exams to check for imbalances and identify patterns.

For in-person sessions (acupuncture, bodywork, etc.), you will receive your first treatment after the intake.

Online coaching clients get a custom-made action plan to help you meet your health goals.

Foundation Phase

6-12 weeks, depending on the condition

The Foundation Phase is when we bring your system into a state of balance.

During this phase, we support your hormone flow, nervous system, and gut health, addressing both the root causes of your symptoms as well as their surface manifestations.

Hands-on treatments are cumulative and work best when they build on each other.

Whether you’re coming in for treatments or working with Katerina online, you will leave each session equipped with simple changes you can make to your diet and lifestyle so you can continue building on the benefits between sessions.

Maintenance Phase

Monthly and as-needed

Once you’re on track to reach your health goals, it’s time to move on to the maintenance phase.

Most patients enjoy wellness visits every 3-4 weeks as preventative medicine, with additional sessions in between as issues arise.
